Privacy Policy — Figma Linux Opener

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Figma Linux Opener is a browser extension created by Sorin Istudor that opens Figma web links directly in the figma-linux desktop application. This page explains, in plain terms, what the extension does and does not do with your data.

Data collection

Figma Linux Opener does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It has no analytics, no tracking, and no external server of any kind — everything runs locally in your browser.

What is stored locally

The only piece of information the extension keeps is the auto-close delayyou set in the popup (a number in milliseconds). This is saved using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.sync API, which syncs it across your own signed-in browser instances the same way a bookmark would — it is never sent to the developer or to any third party.

Permissions used

No other tabs, pages, or browsing history are ever read.

Remote code

Figma Linux Opener does not load or execute any remote code. All logic ships inside the extension package and runs entirely on your device.

Third parties

This extension does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect any data to share.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update date above will be revised accordingly.
